I have been RVing for the last 35 years and am very familiar with the features and functions of RV’s and Trailers. I’ve owned 6 different units over the years giving me real life experience with Towable Toy Haulers, Travel Trailers, Class C and Class A Motor Homes. Today I own a 42-foot Class A Diesel Pusher and am enjoying the RV lifestyle.
With these real-life experiences, I can help you find the Best Motorhome or Towable for you! I have incredible attention to details and will strive to find any issues or quirks before you buy. When you hire me (A NRVIA Certified 3rd Party Inspector) to inspect your future RV you will receive an objective and neutral 80–100-page Inspection Report. This report will contain dozens if not 100’s of pictures detailing the testing of all the major systems in your future RV. I will start with safety items, propane, electrical systems, the roof, chassis, interior and all the appliances.
With your RV Inspection Report you will be able to take all this information and make the most informed decision that is suitable for your needs and desires in a New or Used RV. As I like to say let your adventure begin!
Having retired at the age of 55 after selling a successful software company, I embarked on a quest to find a fulfilling new pursuit. Recently, my wife and I upgraded from our 12-year-old 36-foot Winnebago Tour to a stunning 40-foot Thor Tuscany Class A Diesel Pusher Motor Home. You might wonder, why is this relevant? Well, after purchasing six different RVs, I've experienced the highs and lows of RV buying—some excellent experiences and some not so much. During our latest RV purchase, we had it inspected by an NRVIA Certified Inspector. The comprehensive and detailed report they provided made me realize that this was something I could excel at and enjoy, helping others with their RV purchases.
Having owned various types of RVs, I recognized that my wealth of knowledge could be invaluable to others. Thus, I enrolled at The National RV Training Association (NRVTA), the only accredited school in the United States offering an intensive 128-hour Certified RV Inspector course. Today, I am proud to be a Certified RV Inspector with the National RV Inspectors Association (NRVIA), and a Registered Technician (RVTAA). My learning journey didn’t stop there; I went on to become Aqua Hot Level 4 Certified, Coleman Mach A/C Certified, Coleman Thermostat Certified, California Air Resources Certified Diesel Smog Tester, and Horizon Laboratory Certified.
RV Inspectors play a crucial role in the RV sales cycle. Buying an RV is a highly emotional process, and most people don’t know what to look for. A third-party inspector like me can help buyers navigate the unknowns of their RV purchase. My Inspection Reports give the buyer the knowledge to know if this is the right RV for them or not. Sometimes the result is we are buying the RV, and the dealership is addressing the repairs, or for the price we will repair it ourselves. Other times the result is we are walking away from a potential money pit. I aim to help people buy the RV of their dreams with minimal issues. This passion led me to become a Certified RV Inspector, leveraging my real-life experience.
These experiences bore fruit when I was invited to be a speaker at the January 2025 FMCA Western Rally in Indio. My presentation, titled "Why Do You Need an RV Inspection," was well-received by over 50 attendees who thanked me for the valuable insights I shared. Since then, I have conducted several inspections for attendees. The most rewarding part of my job is when people call to thank me for the inspection and assistance with their RV purchase process. Some of the emails are truly heartfelt and have made my day several times. Additionally, salespeople often express their gratitude for helping their customers, making their job easier.
